Board Position Descriptions:
Trustee: This is a position in perpetuity (until trustee no longer wishes to serve) and helps to provide wisdom and leadership to the larger board. Typically, the trustee has served as a board member officer in the past, has lived in the community for a very long time and has a broad sense of our history as well as good relations with neighbors.
Fire Chief: This position is a liaison between the three fire districts our community straddles and support fire mitigation activities, emergency management, and evacuation protocol.
Assistant Fire Chief: The Assistant Fire Chief assumes Fire Chief duties whenever the Fire Chief is out of town or unavailable. In the event of a vacancy in the office of Fire Chief, the Assistant Fire Chief shall succeed to such office for the unexpired term.
President: sets meeting agendas and facilitates meetings; provides leadership for the Board, sends out some communications to the entire community
Vice President: In the event of a vacancy in the office of President, the Vice President shall succeed to such office for the unexpired term.
Secretary: Takes minutes at all meetings; sends out web-based notices to community; keeps track of important documents; communicates updates needed for the website to our website manager.
Treasurer: Keeps track of membership dues (and issues receipts); serves as point person for bank account; ensures proper handling all funds; gives reimbursements to members for supplies, hosting, website hosting and design work, and all approved expenses, pays annual tax bill for ballfield land.
Social Chair: Coordinates the following events with the social committee: July 4th, Oktoberfest, Holiday Sing, and coordinates refreshments for the Community Work Days and the Annual Meeting.
